As a mutable air sign symbolized by "twins," Geminis are known for being, playful, curious, quick-witted social butterflies whose people pleasing and contradictory nature sometimes leads them to appear a bit all over the place. This sign holds a special place in my heart since my older sister Mercedes is a Gemini and us other two sisters are twins.

A mutable air sign: Thought processing, All forms of communication. Mental gymnastics. 

New Moon: when the sun and moon line up in the sky, it is a time to set intentions.

When it comes to the twin aspect of Gemini, I think about Gemini as a mirror. A dancing between light and dark. Duality. Polarity. About how we are all on a journey of unapologetically embracing the paradox of the human experience, and the way in which are shadows are an intrinsic part of ourselves that there is no separating from, only an integration with. Sorta like how we do not get over grief, we learn to move through it. Or how we often cannot get over trauma wounds, so instead we learn how to grow our capacity to hold more emotions along a greater spectrum of perceived "positive" to "negative."

With Mercury, the planet of communication also being in the sign of Gemini right now alongside the sun and the moon, there is a big energetic focus on embodying more authentic forms of self-expression by taking some steps outside of our comfort zones to share more of who we are as a gift to the world. 

Saturn in Pisces's beginning it's retrograde today also brings a spotlight to our maturation process; asking us to reflect on the ways we are in and out of spiritual alignment with our highest potentials. 

How have New Moon in Gemini themes come up in my life?

Intention: self-investment - signed up for trauma informed teacher wellness training today (yoga, mindfulness, meditation). Hooray! I am so looking forward to this embodied approach to learning trauma informed ways of relating to my Self and others. 

Intention: self-investment - new blog milestone :). I created my logo! It says Im.possible Deliberately and has a hummingbird to symbolize my intention of living more in the moment, spontaneity, and chasing glimmers. I was thinking about using a dragonfly because of its connection to self-realization, transformation, and the death/rebirth process, but I feel like hummingbirds symbolize more of who I am actively working towards becoming, rather than who I am now and have been in the past.
