#31 Happy Juneteenth - "Ms. Fix It Not" (6/19/23)

Picture from walk of a Blue Heron

I often have to remind myself that I do not have to perfect and am not responsible for fixing everything for my ancestral line. That I alone do not carry the burden of overcoming all of the intergenerational traumas I have inherited in this lifetime just because I have made the conscious decision to dedicate myself to a path of spiritual alignment and wholistic well-being. And so today, I rest, I create art, and I take nature walks. That is all. I feel blessed to be in the position to choose leisure on this day.

Quote I am reflecting on today:

"You've got to stop trying to fix things that you didn't break. It's not your responsibility. Some things are broken. Some people are broken. You didn't break them. You didn't break the thing or the person. Yet you're almost about to break yourself trying to fix it. Don't do that."
