#54 Full Moon in Gemini Reflections: Listening to Universal Nudges

Full Moon in Gemini, Monday November 27th, 2023, at 1:16 am PST

It is an understatement to say that the past two months have been a rollercoaster. Getting back into the swing of PhD life, including teaching and generals exams, have been a lot to reintegrate upon taking 4.5 months off of working and schooling. I continuously have to tell myself "I can do hard things" to not collapse in on myself throughout the day. I have missed this space of blog writing where I can dive into the depths of my inner world without a heavy sense of being surveilled. Something about this Full Moon being in Gemini, ruled by the planet of Mercury, AKA a heavy energetic emphasis on communication, has called me back. I mean, there was literally a cloud that looks like a quill pen or bird wing in the sky as I captured the full moon in her beautiful essence; how much more of a nudge from the universe do I need to realize it is time that I carve out the time to tend to my interior domain in this beautiful way again. A ritual between me and the cosmos. A moment in time where I can slow down, lean into stillness, and tap in to hear what I truly have to say, even if no one is listening.

Gemini Full Moon Affirmation: Remember, the work is for you.

Themes:
  • Releasing what no longer serves me. People, places, relationships, etc.
  • Harsh Truths
  • Hard Conversations
  • Standing my ground
  • Speaking up for myself/my Self
  • Unconditional Love/Divine Union
  • Mother wounds surfacing
  • Time is not running out - linear time is an illusion
  • Love is an action, a verb, not a passive feeling (noun)
  • Reflecting on and then Re-writing/re-framing/ re-defining my story/narratives I have carried with me for years
  • Duality
  • Inner world reflects outer world and vice versa / everything I interact with is a mirror of some sort
  • You cannot manifest what you don't think you're worthy of
  • Detours are divine redirection
  • Pleasure (in all forms) is a birthright
  • Shine bright like a diamond
  • Breakdown to Breakthrough
Additional commentary:
  • Music - Wild Horses by Bishop Briggs
  • New bird sightings on my nature walks - Ruby crowned Kinglet and Varied Thrush! Both are a yellow/orange hue which is interesting. Correlates with Solar Plexus (I Do) and Sacral (I Feel) Chakras.
  • Some examples of reframes I have been sitting with lately:
    • what if back steps have just as much to teach us as movements forward? what if we percieved back steps as a form of progress too? what if a backstep isn't a back step at all until we make it one by cementing ourselves in that head and physical space? what if the back step is there to show us just as far we've come once the fog parts and we see that we have made it through this storm with new coping mechanisms in place-renewed and reborn.
    • I am not spending money; I am circulating money.
    • The Fall season teaches me that shedding doesn't have to be a bad thing, it is an aspect of being a living being. In order to usher in the new, we must first make space by parting with what no longer serves us.
    • The cold, grey, rainy weather reminds me that even the sun needs to take a break some times from shining bright and being a source of light and life for others.
Questions to reflect on:
  1. What limiting beliefs am I telling myself about my past that impact my ability to do/create/manifest things in my life?
  2. Am I able to hear others perspectives that do not align with my own?
  3. Where do I feel the tension building in my body when I am confronted with others beliefs that do not align with my own truth? What are constructive ways that I can ease and/or relieve this tension?
  4. What activities tend to my inner spark? How can I carve more time out in my life for it?
  5. Do you listen to universal nudges?

until next time, with Love, the DLB
